O’Connor Contracts is a family run business based in Sligo, Ireland which specializes in construction and ground works. With a background in construction and exceptional experience in building services, Gary O’Connor established O’Connor Contracts in August 2019 following a rise in local demand for building contractors that provide a wide range of services.

Gary’s previous projects include a new build housing estate with a total of 18 houses, nursing home, cottage renovations, house extensions and groundworks on over 20+ sites.
With help from extended family, Gary has developed a business that truly strives to provide the highest standard of work for his clients. Always keeping his client’s vision in full focus, Gary delivers high quality work for a reasonable price.

GROUND WORKS
At O’Connor Contracts, we have a wealth of experience in ground works including but not limited to site development and preparation of foundations of new builds or renovations, concreting, site drainage, hard landscaping and road/driveway development.
SITE CLEARANCE
Do you need to get a site prepared for construction? We specialize in site clearance that adheres to environment regulations and is also fully aligned to site plans. We can clear vegetation and surface soil, level the area and prepare the ground for planned construction works.
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
We can carry out and manage a full range of management services for domestic and commercial properties equipped to meet spectrum of maintenance requirements including responsive repairs, fit outs, landscaping/ground works, wall and floor finishes, structural works and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) services.

RETAIL STORE
Supervalu, Bundoran, Co. Donegal
O’Connor Contracts were appointed Main Contractor and PSCS to carry out the demolition, expansion, and retrofit to the Supervalu retail outlet in Bundoran, Co. Donegal, including the relocation of retail areas, upgraded butchery, deli, bakery, and off-licence and associated site works.
We worked closely with the Client, Project Manager, Design Team, and the store's staff to carry the work safely and seamlessly while the store remained fully open during all work.
O’Connor Contracts provided a turn-key solution co-ordinating all subcontractors that were necessary to carry out the work they included – Fit-out Specialist, MEP Services, Flooring
Contractors, Sprinkler Engineers and HVAC & Refrigeration Specialists.

The works included a full internal refurbishment, and significant energy‑efficiency upgrades. New wall and attic insulation were installed to improve thermal performance, alongside a modern kitchen and contemporary bathrooms finished to a high standard.
The project was completed with new wall finishes, floor coverings, and a full repaint throughout, resulting in a fresh, modern living space.

O’Connor Contracts recently completed a full internal renovation, extension, and extensive energy upgrades at a home in Strandhill, County Sligo. The project included new wall and attic insulation to boost energy efficiency, along with a modern kitchen and contemporary bathrooms designed and built to high standards. A high‑efficiency heat pump and underfloor heating were installed to reduce energy costs and lower the home’s carbon footprint.
New windows and doors were fitted throughout to improve heat loss and refresh the overall look of the property. A light well was added to brighten the kitchen, and a new outdoor paving area was constructed. Inside, the home received new wall finishes, floor coverings, and a full repaint, giving it a fresh, modern feel.
